With the economy struggling and businesses closing, the opening of a new store is rare, especially when the business donates the proceeds to nonprofit organizations. However, in March of this year, Mark Moody - administrator of MarMac Charity - defied the frightening trends and opened the doors of the Hope Home Thrift Store. The creation of the Hope Home Thrift Store is a realization of Mark's personal goal after 30 years of volunteering with local charities and serving on nonprofit boards. To the general public, as well, the Thrift Store has become a beacon of hope during these perilous times.
Excluding operating costs, all proceeds generated will benefit local charities.
